Doable itineraries to the dunes of Erg Chebbi

Omar liked his style of life doing caravans and the easyness of life. He wanted to show this and the beauty of the desert to others who have never had the chance experience what he has. Omar began to organize tours and treks from his small familly hostel in 1997 and he has been doing it ever since.

, If Using our services we will take care of everything from your arrival to your departure, forward me your itinerary or let me create one. If you are in a very tight budget, a shared 3 day two night SARDINE group tour is offered in Marrakech but with no English speaking drivers, sometimes no AC in the car, too much shopping along with very limited time to enjoy the desert, and you might get forced to share the room and the tent with somebody you just met in the group, very basic accommodations

1) Hire a car and drive yourself or use our services (3 days, 2 nights)
Tour desciption:

Day 1: Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains- Kasbah Aitbenhadou - Rose Vally - Dades Gorge

So many rental car companies are available at the airoport and within the big cities, a good map and GPS will help, drive on direction to Ourzazat, you pass via so many small berber towns, around an hour drive you get to see a green larch vally on your right, you can stop at anytime for pictures, then you are at the high atlas mountains, stop along the spectacular Tizi Ntichka pass (2260 M high), admire the scenic and beautiful mountains with small berber villages above, around 3 hours drive via the Mountains you will have the choice either to turn left to Telouet and thru the beautiful Anilla Vally to the World Heritage site of Aitbenhadou or to carry on on the same road, park your car at one of the hotels, restaurants close by and go for a walk to the Kasbah, you can have lunch at the spot, drive to Ourzazat maybe a stop at the Taourirt Kabsah and at the Atlas Studios (a film sight, Kingdom of Heaven was filmed here), drive to El Kelaa de Megouna (Rose Vally) thru Skoura oasis, Skoura has a 17 century kasbah wurth a visit, stop at the vally, travel further to Dades Gorge via the Thousand Kasbahs route and the Dades Vally, while driving towards Dades Gorge via the Dades Vally and at some point you will see the Monkey fingers vally on your right side, stop there. Once at Dades Gorge you stay the night at either chezpierre, Auberge Tifawin, or Babylon, for more Luxury go to Xaluca Dades or Dar Sultan.

Day 2: Dades Gorge- Todra Vally /Gorge- Merzouga - The Dunes of Erg Chebbi/ Luxury Camp (book your camel tour with us for 40 euros pp)

, Depart Dades Gorge towards Todra Vally and Todra Gorge, pass Boumalen Dades City and stop on the right of the road for a panoramic view of Dades Vally, drive towards Thenrir then to Todra Vally and Todra Gorge, stop along the Vally, get a walk at Todra Gorge, the gorge is very famous for the rock climbing with a tiny river in the middle, very cool in the summer time! you have lunch at the spot or maybe travel further to Tinjdad or Touroug, from there drive to Erfoud Via Jorf, and from Erfoud drive to Merzouga and the dunes of Erg chebbi ( a new paved road from Erfoud to Merzouga without passing thru Rissani), Merzouga has the Most famous highest soft sand dunes, check in at our hotel in Merzouga to get changed, use bath, swimming pool available at the hotel, An hour camel ride thru the golden sand dunes, breaks on the way to admire the beauty of the desert and enjoy it's silence, a nice spot to watch the sunset over the dunes, trek down to the camp, dinner and overnight stay in a Luxury private tent with private bath and shower

Day 3: Merzouga - Rissani - Alnif - Agdez - Ourzazat - High Atlas Mountains - Marrakech

Early morning wake up to watch the sunrise over the dunes, camel ride back to Merzouga, breakfast at the hotel by the edge of the dunes, travel back to Marrakech via Rissani,Alnif, Agdez, then to Ourzazat and back again over the high atlas mountains to Marrakech. For your confort and not to feel rushed, you will be better breaking the way in between and stay another night in Agdez.

Very Important) don't stop for anyone asking for the ride, for a help to fix his or her car, some illegal guides and scammers pretend need help!

Day 3: Merzouga Desert - Ziz Vally - Middle Atlas Mountains - Cedar Forest and Monkey Troupes - Fes

Early Morning wake up to watch the sunrise over the dunes, camel ride back to Merzouga, breakfast at the hotel, depart to Fes via the Tafilalet palm grove, which is one of the largest oasis in the world, thousands of palm trees at a very green larch vally. This road leads you to the spectacular Ziz Vally, stop at the vally to enjoy the views. Travel further to Midelt thru the middle atlas mountains while admiring the superb views of the Berber Villages, stop for lunch. Move to the Cedar forest in Azrou to watch the monkeys! drive to Ifran, a modern clean city in the middle of the mountains, has an international university called Alakhawayn, gardens, green areas and a ski resort making this small town unique, in the late afternoon you get to Fes, a good 7 hours drive, you can also break up the way and stay your night in Midelt instead
